Top Wedding Hairstyles of 2013
Those who know me know how much I love pretty much anything hair related. Today I’ve put together my top picks of 2013 wedding hairstyles that these beautiful brides and bridesmaids wore at recent weddings I shot in Toronto and all over the map. Each woman had a wide array of ideas and used lots of accessories, braids, twists, and colors. I was in heaven! And didn’t realize just how creative they were until I compiled the images for this post. I hope it inspires you to try something different for your upcoming wedding or formal event. Enjoy!
Two-Strand Twists or Havana Twists
This is a great wedding style that easily transitions into the honeymoon vacay with little fuss! It’s a versatile style that can be done with or without extensions and worn long or pinned up. This style was created by Melissa of Lucian Locs in Atlanta for a recent styled shoot!
Bird Cage Veils
I loved everything about Honorine’s fun and playful oversized bow accessory! Her veil was perfect for the beachy setting of her destination wedding. Stunning!
Traceen also wore a bird cage veil, but hers had an array of feathers and pearls on it. Love!
Braided French Twist
Melanie looked stunning with her take on the french twist. She added a braided headband to complete the look. Her mid-length hair style was perfect with the sweet-heart neckline of her dress.
Old Hollywood Waves
Eileen’s old hollywood waves were certainly a hit with me. I really like how she jazzed it up with the diamond hair piece accessory. Just gorgeous!
Milkmaid Braids
Traceen’s sister was the maid of honor at her wedding. I was stunned by her choice of hair style which was a braided crown that framed her whole head like a crown. The intricate design makes this style one of my favorites.
Sideswept Chignon
Diane’s loosely side swept hair was subtle and absolutely regal! The curls were pinned in place with tiny diamond accessories. Such a romantic do!
Twisted Bun
Abeer wanted something that would keep her long curly hair neat and frizz free throughout the day at her Jamaican wedding. I really love the final style and the pretty accessories added in. The twists really frame her gorgeous face!
