Ebony and Jeremy | Detroit Engagement Session
Meet Jeremy and Ebony. They’re engaged!
Ebony is a full time graduate student studying to become a Clinical Social Worker. She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Jeremy is a Federal Background Investigator and he was born in Dillon, South Carolina. He’s also lived in Michigan as a child.
They met in the most ironic way in the summer of 2008. When Jeremy first moved to Michigan for law school, Ebony immediately caught his eye. She was literally the girl next door!
Ebony and Jeremy’s first date was a simple night out to the movies. They enjoyed the comedy Tropical Thunder. And after the movie, they enjoyed hours of conversation and a late night stroll. They still enjoy movie going as a couple today!
Jeremy proposed to Ebony while they were visiting Charleston, South Carolina for a weekend. Seriously, for anyone that hasn’t been to Charleston, it’s magical. SO romantic! They walked on the beach after a boat ride tour of the city and that’s when Jeremy popped the question – right there on the beach!

I headed to Detroit last weekend to shoot with them downtown bright and early in the morning. We hit a few spots including the Detroit Riverwalk, Woodward Ave, and Belle Isle Park.
It was windy and really cold, but we were so fortunate – it didn’t rain. The weather report for that day predicted it would be a wet one.
Through it all, they totally trusted me even in the parking garage!
Such an awesome feeling to have free reign in a beautiful city. Plus these two are so much fun.
I am so grateful to know them and I’m also excited to be able to share their love on the blog today. I can’t wait until their wedding in August 2014!
