Taking a break.
What an awesome year 2014 has been! Just awesome. I worked with some amazing clients and achieved incredible things. Now that 2015 is here, I’m taking a moment to grow. I guess you can call it a growth journey. After almost 3 years of 70-80 hour work weeks as a photographer and full-time law student, I’m taking a moment to pause and refocus myself on what’s important. The things that God wants me to do. That includes creating boundaries for myself and my business so that I can live a more passionate and purposeful life. I’ve struggled with saying ‘NO’ to projects and things that are not meant for me and have felt empty and resentful afterwards. I’ve set myself up on a cycle that is not sustainable. I’ve stayed up until 3 am working, I’ve set unreasonable expectations for myself and I’ve felt obligated to please. But now, I’m focused on breaking the cycle so that I can be my best self for myself, my family, and my clients. I really want to focus on using my gifts the way God intended. What does that mean? Well, in order to iron out the details and create more structure in my life and business. I will be taking a break between January 31st, 2015 and March 31st 2015.
To my current clients:
- I will only be available and in communication with you via telephone and email for questions/concerns and unfinished matters.
- I WILL NOT CHECK SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGES OR TAGS. PLEASE EMAIL ME. (ie. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- I will be booking 2015 portrait sessions after March 31st, 2015. Email me then with your inquiries.
- I will only be processing album and/or print orders placed before January 31, 2015 and after March 31st, 2015.
- During my break, I will only be shooting sessions booked (deposits must be paid) before December 31st, 2014.
To new/potential clients:
- 2015 and 2016 wedding clients can contact me via email to discuss wedding bookings.
- If you’re interested in booking any other photo shoots with me, please get in touch after March 31st, 2015.

In the meantime, I will be sharing weddings and other shoots here on my blog. So check back for more pretty things from my 2014 wedding season!
I realize that this may be difficult to understand. But I’ve decided that in order to remain healthy and to sustain myself and my business, I need to take a moment to reboot. My goal is to return refreshed with heightened creativity, passion, and energy in April!
