ALEXCIS AND DAVID | ATLANTA WEDDING AT PIEDMONT GARDEN TENT
Alexcis and David are my longtime friends, more like family! So you can imagine how excited I was to shoot at this wedding and also be a bridesmaid for the beautiful pair. They met back in college and got married just last June. Lexi, one of my best friends from my high school days wore a gorgeous dress and a birdcage fascinator veil! Isn’t my friend so classy though?! The bridesmaids and I wore some cute J. Crew dresses in the color sea foam and David and the guys were wearing light grey suits to make the whole wedding party look so amazing. Even though I already had the inside scoop on this couple, some of the photos in this post were also shared on Munaluchi Bride Magazines website which featured some Q+A from the couple. Tell us how you met and all about the proposal.
We met in the summer of 2003 at the beginning of volleyball preseason at the University of South Carolina. I played volleyball with David’s older sister in college, and David had accompanied his sister on the trip to Columbia.
Wedding Style: Describe your wedding dress. What was wedding shopping like for you?
Mermaid style with sweetheart neckline. Dress shopping was a breeze – got it online without any drama.
Memories: What is your best memory from your wedding?
We wrote our own vows. David is not a really sentimental guy, so hearing his vows made it real for me.
What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and hire a wedding planner!! It also helps to have a best friend who is a bomb wedding photographer!!
