Fall is here which is prime time for engagement sessions. Today, I’m sharing a few tips to help you prepare for your upcoming shoot. Then I work with couples, the biggest dilemma is what to wear and what to bring. These 5 tips should give you some ideas to help you feel more relaxed on the day of your shoot.
I love how colors make photos more vibrant. Colors play a huge role in my style of photography so I’m here for all it. Pops of red and yellow really make the fall or winter backdrop stand out even more. I believe in standing out rather than blending in. Something as simple as painted nails or vibrant lipstick can really make all the difference in the colder seasons.

Accessories are anything that add a little something extra to your outfit. Could be necklaces, scarves, hats, or boots. Use these things to make your outfit a little more interesting.
If the temperature is getting colder, it’s best to wear layers underneath your clothing. You can also find stylish jackets to wear in your shoot too.

Bringing your own props can make your photo shoot a little more personal. Things that add a little extra detail to you love story can be a lot of fun. Some couples are coffee lovers and so they may want to have their favorite coffee cups in hand. Leaves or branches also make great props for detail shots of the engagement ring.

The engagement is usually just a year or so long. It’s an exciting time before the wedding and should be a memorable and fun time in your lives. Make sure you enjoy the photo shoot and don’t sweat the small stuff. Trust your photographer to capture your love story!
If you know someone who is engaged, share this post with them. Also, let me know if you have any followup questions. I’d love to help.
