I am in awe of this woman.
She is a world traveler with incredible style and a personalty to boot! My first encounter with her was through my computer screen. She is an energetic motivating machine that makes the most engaging videos on her YouTube channel – YNOTKEEB.
After subscribing to her channel and following her journey thus far, I am convinced that she is a woman that will inspire many more to stop making excuses and chase their dreams!
She has inspired me with her belief in a well rounded lifestyle with a focus on health, beauty, style and travel. I learned, after meeting her in person last week, that we have even more in common: we have matching palms! Pretty awesome to us and to all the palm readers out there! Ha-ha!!
Be inspired by her FEARLESS interview and be sure to subscribe to her YouTube channel for more YNOTKEEB goodness!
Tell us about what you do?
I am a “Creative”. I live an unconventional life where what I create sustains my existence. I am a wife, traveler, stylist, actress and YouTube personality who has chosen to maximize the gifts God has given me.
I am at my highest point when I am creating and sharing positivity and love with others. My YouTube Channel has given me a platform where I can exercise my creative desires and dreams of spreading love, laughter, information and motivation to the world.
How did you get started doing it – what inspired you?
One day I was sitting at home alone watching a bunch of different YouTube videos, and I said: “Enough is enough keeb ( I talk to myself out loud lol) “why are you letting insecurities hold you back from putting yourself out there? STOP thinking about all the things that could go wrong! You have something you want to share WHY NOT do it!” I started hyping myself up, repeating over and over “why not Keeb, why not girl, come on!”. I did this until I believed in myself, that’s when the name “ynotkeeb” came to me and the channel was born.
My past disappointment in myself for failing to utilize my gifts due to fear is what inspired me and motivated me to do better and be more than I was. I knew I had more to give and the time had come.
What are some ways you overcome adversity or fear?
To be honest, with adversity, sometimes I need to just let myself cry and breakdown and have a crazy moment, and THEN pick myself back up.
It helps me realize that things could always be worse, and I better stop the foolishness’ because there is always something to be thankful for and that’s what I need to focus on.
With fear, I have to coach myself, hype myself up; I have to remind myself that overcoming my fears will only make me stronger. I take a few deep yogi breaths, and remind myself that God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.
Any advice for others that want to follow on a similar path?
STOP DOUBTING YOUR GIFTS, YOU ARE GREAT! LOVE AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE DOES, AND NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU!
(I am yelling because I want you to really get this, and I want you to yell it in first person daily! hahaha…seriously)
Name your 3 key sources of inspiration and how they help you create or stay positive.
My best friend- My husband, I love him 🙂 he’s so supportive. He makes me happy, and joy and love is great breeding ground for creativity (my family also plays a great role in creating a loving atmosphere). He’s also my opposite in a lot of ways and he helps keep me balanced and grounded (even though at times I don’t always want to admit it lol). He always reminding me that every adversity has a solution and it’s about what you can do now, not about the shoulda’, coulda’ wouldas’. His discipline is something I strive for.
My faith – Believing in a greater good, an undeniable entity of positivity and love that we can all tap into, keeps me going and reminds me that there is more to life than what we see in front of us. It keeps my mind open.
Living- Taking the time to REALLY take life in, there is inspiration and positivity all around us if we just take a moment to look and listen. This includes traveling, and seeing how others live, and taking in new surroundings, it gives me new insight and helps me appreciate my own life.
Thanks for sharing with us Keeb! Keep doing what you’re doing!
